Re: JRiver on Mac
That's got to be the worst piece of marketing/promotion I've ever seen....
"it's rubbish, has no features, will take ages to improve, and that not by much...but don't worry you can have it for half price... for a little while... and don't even think about not being happy with it..."

Brass Bands are all very well in their place -

Re: JRiver on Mac
That's interesting Mark.
I too am more Mac and try my best not to be too PC.
I've been using BitPerfect [€0.89] for a good while and I've wondered how much better JPlay might be.
But, and I glance at them now and again, the threads here on the J stuff lead me to believe that it's an endeavour too far.
A hobby in it's self on top of Music and HiFi kit. Looks really time consuming.
Since I got the CP 800 and great power amps on loan, big THANKS to Fran, and an absolutely spiffing pair of horns I wonder if I'm close to the end of my journey towards my ideal system ?
Genuinely, even my iPhone sounds great through that chain.
To be honest, I find myself being more and more drawn to upgrading my vinyl front end and refurbing my record collection further. That's what I keep drifting back to.
So by years end I will be old enough, ugly enough and well enough kitted out to just sit back and enjoy the music.
[The first 2 are fore sure, the 3rd ???]
