Oh Lord, that takes me back. Many years ago my brother played in a rock band and one of the guys was a fabulous bass player and was obsessed with music and, in particular, with Bach. He loved Bach's organ music and piano music too and used to visit our home with dozens of LPs and my favourites were his vinyl recordings of the Jacques Loussier Trio playing Bach. Sadly, I never bought any of Loussier's recordings, it's never too late.

Seán: This is the Ellington LP that I was talking to you about the other night....
Its full title is Duke Ellington's Band Shorts (1929-1935); The Complete Soundtracks.
It features his music from three films namely Black and Tan (1929), A Bundle of Blues (1933) and Symphony in Black (1935).
It also features the female vocalists Billie Holiday, Fredi Washington and Ivie Anderson.
