The story of Otis Redding's "Sittin' on the dock of the Bay"

A link to a Wall Street Journal article on the song and Otis Redding's inspiration. I hadn't realised it was such a sad story.

Steve Cropper tells much the same story in recent "session" with Ronnie Wood on SKyArts, seems like an awesome guy (in the grammatically correct sense of the word!!)
Brass Bands are all very well in their place -
outdoors and several miles away....
