anyway, the Runnicles Bruckner 7 with the BBC Mag's orchestral recording of the month... extremely good review, so enjoy!
No, they were all on the list to be purchased at some point Jared so I can't complain. It remains a shame, however, that HMV store policy (and market forces, of course) make them overly reliant on Naxos (despite that labels manifest qualities) to the detriment of so many other worthy recordings. Still, I mustn't fuss, as the Oxford Street CM department is dwindling each time I go there so what can I expect? I'm pleased with my haul. I was burnt by HMV online a couple of years back so I never use them; I'm old fashioned enough to want to support the building-based shops for as long as I can in any case....

Darren, that is an interesting choice I would love to know what you make of Ms Alsop and the BSO's approach to the Titan.

Shostakovich 14 with the USSR Ministry of Culture O conducted by Gennady Rozhdestvensky. I have a few from this series in their Melodiya reissue which are very powerful, so I've been trying to get my hands on this for a while. They're currently out of print, so I was very pleased to get this for £7.02 including shipping on Amazon UK.

Had my eye on this for a little while now, and it's time I extended my Handel collection... I expect great things of this CD!
