The upshot of having replied 'something from my wish list' when asked what I wanted for christmas this year is at least a twofold benefit:
first, I feel like a kid waiting for Santa...I kinda know what I'm going to get but not really sure what will be delivered.....my Wishlist is pretty extensive and includes lots of stuff I don't know at all but want to remember 'to look into'. So I don't know what will be selected.
second, since I've been banned from buying anything from the list since the beginning of the month (to avoid duplication) I've been listening to some great but neglected music already on the shelf...very nice !!

Re: Being banned from my Wish List has benefits
Sounds like a win-win situation!
Do or do not, there is no try
Re: Being banned from my Wish List has benefits
I must make more use of the wish-list...

I'm in a similar situation - roll on Tuesday. Hope the neighbours don't mind Celebration Day loud, early on Christmas morn. Probably an appropriate enough title though :-)

Nice idea, my wishlist is that the financial controller will forget any expenditure this year so I can start afresh in the new year

Re: Being banned from my Wish List has benefits
I seem to have spent most of December trying to whittle down my wish-list to reasonable proportions, thereby creating a small stock-pile for the New Year.
needless to say, I didn't save much, this month... :-//
