Went to tower today rather than stalk the make up counters in BT with Anne. Of course the eye candy is not as attractive in tower but sure safer place to be.

Got this to replace the lp snaffled by ivor some time back. Trying it out again and it is as good as I remember it.

2 albums on one cd

Fraid not. I've had this in the wish list for a bit though.

Two tremendous gigs in Cork this week.

On Tuesday night the Unthanks:

Documentary with live soundtrack performed by the core band. What purity of sound drenched in nostalgia for a hard life gone by.

Last night:
The Gloaming

Master musicians on top form - transported me to a place far away from budgets and the cold weather. Can't wait for the album.

Came across these on Qobuz:

It seems there is a whole collection of audiofilms on the winter & winter website
http://www.winterandwinter.com/index.php?id=11, most of which are available on Spotify.
These are field recordings so if that is not your thing you have been warned.
There is great atmosphere and pretty good sound on some of these recordings from what I can tell just listening on Spotify...
