I bought this on a whim... didn't like it much at first, but it's been on the phone fore a while now and there are some great tracks on it, still not convinced as an album...
Brass Bands are all very well in their place -
outdoors and several miles away....

I love that album. I think a few tracks dominate it but with repeated listens it's a real grower.

Incredible movie Dermot.
Beats "Hell broke Luce" in the 'best of 2012' charts IMHO.
And thanks for the heads up an Scott Walker new album ...
more of his usual, if infrequent, brilliance by the sound of it.

Good man Gerry! Impeccable taste as always :) Don't forget he's all over the current edition of Wire - interview and album review....Oh and the album is actually coming out in 16 days time according to Boomkat. Can't wait!
