Dermot,
Have you heard any of KS work with Lisa Gerrard,I’ve never heard any,but they’ve made 3-4
albums together and was wondering about your opinion on these records if you’ve heard them.

Yeah I heard them John. Wouldn't recommend them though because they're on cd ;) Seriously though I did get two of them - a live DVD (Rheingold) and a double CD called Farscape I think. To tell the truth I haven't really, really listened to either. The quick listen I did give them told me that you'd want to have the patience of Job to sit through them! The tracks average about 20 minutes in length with one in particular going on for nearly 30 minutes on the double CD edition! The DVD is great though as you get to see a frail Klaus doing his thing live (and with Lisa too) plus there's terrific bonus content over on disc two especially the interview with a certain Steven Wilson :)
BTW are you familiar with Klaus Schulze's music at all? I always hesitate in recommending his stuff as it goes on so long! You have to have the patience of the classical guys to appreciate what he does. And when you get it, there's no turning back :) I must have at least 20 of his Lps! I'm afraid to count them!

Full concert!!!

My one and only Biosohere Lp. Wasn't that impressed last time I listened. Maybe I might just get it this time around, who knows? Lovely sleeve though....

I've a few of his cd's.I like what he does, but it's hard to figure out where to start as there must be 40-50 albums of his out there.

Sorry to hear that Cybot, however Dropsonde took me a while to get used to as well, however I do like the second last track "Sherbrooke", it kind of grew on me!!

Strange how the album cover art is different on my version when compared to yours!

Thanks for those links Jardin, I will check them out later... looks interesting!!
