Opinions sought on best headphones under €70.

A few years ago my young lad, Robert, bought a pair of the Sennheiser HD515 headphones. He got them on Ivor's recomendation and was very happy with them.

He has broken his HD 515 headphones and is now looking to buy a suitable replacement. He has about €70 to spend and is thinking of getting a pair of the Sennheiser HD 202's or another pair of 515's or is there a different pair that you would recommend he should consider getting?

Superlux hd681. €19. You can borrow my pair and try them out. Virtually unused so like getting a new pair at least it will give you an idea of what they are about and whether they are acceptable. Loved by John Kenny and Fran what more could you ask from a pair of headphones.

Thanks to all for responding with various suggestions. When I started this thread I sent Robert a link to it but he's busy in university and has not had time to follow-up on your suggestions. He promised me that he will do so over the weekend.

Probably a bit late for this but I bought my daughter a pair of Nixon Troopers and am blown away by the sound. Lovely full range with a deep but controlled bass.

Thanks lads, the lad is up to his tonsils in university activities so he has been using my pair of PX100 (the brat), it looks as if I will have to get him a pair of cans for Christmas. I will read back through the posts in this thread, thanks for the suggestions and do please keep them coming.
