I have all of them Jared and you are indeed in for a treat my friend. At this stage I struggle to decide which ensemble I prefer most; The Tallis Scholars or the Sixteen and in my maturing years I think that I am edging in the direction of The Sixteen. They produce a wonderful sound world indeed.

Blomstedt continues his live Bruckner cycle with the marvelous Gewandhaus Orchestra. A marvelous performance of the Wagner Symphony.

I think it's very difficult to split them, they are both absolutely wonderful, although maybe I'd still back tTS owing to the sheer depth of their back catalogue and a number of moderately obscure Renaissance composers they have brought to light for a British audience over the past 30 years or so...

I always found it hard to decide which I preferred between The Tallis Scholars and The Sixteen. TTS make a lovely lovely sound, but it's nearly always the same. The Sixteen seem to have more variety and more *balls* at times, but that sense of utter purity isn't quite there.

I'm happy to have such quandaries!!

I do like Blomstedt's work, in fact I have never heard a bad performance of his, that looks like an interesting recording.
