I listened to a symphony by Johann Christoph Friedrich Bach, one of the lesser-known sons of JSB. It was quite like a god Mozart or Haydn symphony, most enjoyable!

Christian Cannabich lived 1731-1798. His music is highly derivitive of that of Haydn and especially Mozart. It is light, bright, cheerful and very pleasant to listen to.

Did you enjoy the overall performance Dave, i.e. the playing and the sound?
The specific reason that I ask is that I have JSB's English Suites played by van Asperen parked in my Wish List for some time and I cannot decide on whether or not to buy it.
