On LP...
Not the best ACDC record by any means but it does grow on you after a while. Yes, it might be the same few chords over and over but they do it better than most I think. Very well recorded too. A pity that Metallica's effort from last year is 'loud' as hell!
Rock - what are you listening to?

Re: Rock - what are you listening to?
Right....one place I have seen original Mercury pressings is in Borderline;I only call in when I'm desperate as I cannot stomach the owner (Derek)! The other lad is ok once you get to know him but can come across as a bit of a sourpuss...DaveF wrote: ah, I have the same version as you so. I might pick up the Friday music version at some stage. Side 2 of mine is a bit more scratched than side 1 and I'd really like a good copy of this record.
Re: Rock - what are you listening to?
Would you believe I haven't got one AC/DC album in my collection!!! I used to have the first Live one and 'Back in Black' but they're long gone too.I remember a colleague recommending another Live double - can't remember the title - a few years back and the sound was horrendous! So that was that for poor old AC/DC :-((((DaveF wrote:On LP...

Re: Rock - what are you listening to?
I went to the Academy the last time. He certainly wasn't there that night. The (excellent) band played everything and he did very occasional fills. It may have just been a bad night, but I wouldn't bet on it.cybot wrote:Great stuff fergus... He's actually playing a gig in the Olympia this coming Sunday....with friends, whatever that means??
