To celebrate my new Nano, I'm mulling over a new set of in-ear 'phones. I have Ultimate Ears Super.fi 5 Pros at the moment, which I think are pretty good, so I'm wondering how much I'd need to pay to get better? I've read good reviews of the Etymotic HF2 for example, but I have no clue how they'd compare.
Anyone got any thoughts?

Re: In-ear headphones
maybe the new B&W C5's....
The Zeppelin certainly blows the logitech ipod docks out of the water, could be the same with earphones?
Plus Noel would probably have a pair you can try in your own ears.....

one of these might be a good interim investment

its not digital out, but it bypasses the headphone jack for the aux out from the 30pin connector and has a mini t class amp built in!

Re: In-ear headphones
Actually, reading around I get the impression that the UE's are still well-regarded.

Re: In-ear headphones
I have a pair of those UE's also. As you say, very well regarded still and I reckon you'd have to go to a set of bigger over-ear phones to beat them.

Re: In-ear headphones
I use them for running (BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! like I ever actually run...) so bigger over-ear phones wouldn't be so suitable.

Re: In-ear headphones
that inline amp is only about twenty quid....
Once the commuting starts again one is on my shopping list... also adds remote functionality to fancy headphones, the lack of which always sent me running to sennheiser....

Re: In-ear headphones
I have a set of AKG K171's which are supra-aural, as oppose to super-aural...
they do make one look like a "yoot" however
you're more than welcome to have a twist if you like.... they also have a mini xlr jack at the headset so you can plug in a 5m cord for listening to loud movies/music while Penny slumbers on unawares, or a 1m one for when you're running.... for the dart....

Re: In-ear headphones
Ta, but if I were looking for something that big I'd just go right ahead and buy the Quad 57s for sale here.
