RIP Donald 'Duck' Dunn

Post by Rocker »

Only found out today that he had died. Great session musician, played with Booker T & the MGs etc.
It's OK, if there is no bread I will eat cake.

Hard to believe that was 1993 Dermot!!! I wasn't expecting much from Neil and Booker T, I thought it would be his gentler stuff. How wrong was I!!!?? Down by the River was apt and sublime, and did Pearl Jam join them on stage for Rockin' in the Free World?
Sorry to hear of Duck's passing, another one gone to the great jam in the sky!

Was it 1993!!!!! Jesus :( Can't remember whether Pearl Jam joined him on stage but I do remember that the next time he came to Dublin Pearl Jam were his backing band :) .....and you're right, the Slane gig was sensational and I ended up sobbing like a child! I was in the presence of a legendary band and the man himself, Neil Young. Wow!!!!!!!
