Re: Recent Purchases
I absolutely agree Darren!!! I have a CD with a number of the Piano Trios on it and the above set has been on the list for far too long!!bombasticDarren wrote:About time too Fergus!fergus wrote:

Re: Recent Purchases
I haven't bought any CDs since January. I have been paying close attention to amazon, jpc, mdt et al with a view to my getting the Herreweghe complete Bach recordings (on Harmonia Mundi) at a reasonable price. Last week I saw that the set was, once again, available on jpc for €69.99 and €6.99 post+packaging so I ordered it.
My lovely wife has informed me that it arrived this morning so I'm looking forward to a Bach fuelled weekend starting with Cantata 62:

I'd be interested to know what you make of that set Fergus... I can imagine you'll like them and Handley really was the premier Bax interpreter, but whilst I find them enjoyable, I personally find the body of work a little 'samey'...fergus wrote:

I definitely enjoyed the Lloyd-Jones cycle on Naxos Jared and I have already listened to the interview CD in this set and Handley gives him honourable mention.
