Boulez again! I have and love the Baker/King/Haitink....in fact it's my favourite version. Do you like Klemperer or Reiner then?
I was absolutely bowled over by the Boulez when I heard it. I listened to the Klemperer once and liked it. But I was a bit tired, so it wasn't getting my full attention. I'll give it another spin soon. I haven't heard the Reiner: do you like it?

I agree on the performance of the 6th Seán....I found it (suitably) different in character and tone from the others evoking that sylvan, pastoral feel. The storm scene was wonderful; from the moment it starts to rain, right through the pealing thunder until the sun breaks through from behind the black storm clouds.... like a prayer in homage to Nature!
