I think it's finally falling into place now Fergus. I love this performance - what a great interpreter of Bruckner Wand was!fergus wrote:Any further thoughts after that Darren?bombasticDarren wrote:Bruckner - Symphony No.3 (Gunter Wand, Kolner Rundfunk-Sinfonie-Orchester, RCA)

I am delighted to read that Darren. I have always been a lover of Bruckner's music as you know and I have never found any of it difficult or inaccessible so I like to ask what people's difficulties with it are just to understand their problem.bombasticDarren wrote:I think it's finally falling into place now Fergus. I think people get a tad annoyed by the countless false crescendos.. of which No.3 probably contains more than any other... ;-)fergus wrote:I have always been a lover of Bruckner's music as you know and I have never found any of it difficult or inaccessible so I like to ask what people's difficulties with it are just to understand their problem.

I suppose that I just take him, warts and all, as a given at this stage.Jared wrote:I think people get a tad annoyed by the countless false crescendos.. of which No.3 probably contains more than any other... ;-)fergus wrote:I have always been a lover of Bruckner's music as you know and I have never found any of it difficult or inaccessible so I like to ask what people's difficulties with it are just to understand their problem.

Me too Fergus.. Bruckner's works were something I fell in love with upon first hearing... quite literally.fergus wrote:I suppose that I just take him, warts and all, as a given at this stage.Jared wrote:I think people get a tad annoyed by the countless false crescendos.. of which No.3 probably contains more than any other... ;-)fergus wrote:I have always been a lover of Bruckner's music as you know and I have never found any of it difficult or inaccessible so I like to ask what people's difficulties with it are just to understand their problem.
