Vintage Mission 775S turntable unit (no arm)...

Post by Dowser »

Vintage Mission 775S turntable unit. I bought this originally with a Mission 774 arm, that I have transplanted onto my LP12.

I intended to buy a SME-Rega adaptor plate off eBay (~£20) and mount my RB250 on this for use in an office system. Never got around to it though :-)

Mechanically perfect, motor and bearing cleaned and re-lubed. As can be seen in the photos, cosmetically challenged though - they all did this, the laminate causes cracks in the paint. I would have sanded and re-painted...actually, no, I probably wouldn't have...but you could :-)

The lid is actually in good condition, tape residue will clean off - but both hinges broken. Arm fit is SME.

Very heavy (the platter is lead filled underneath!) - I also have the original external phono lead, but it's rubbish quality!

Would also be a good base for a DIY turntable. €50?

I'll be posting up a rewired RB250 in due course too, if you need a complete set-up.
