Earlier today our phone line developed a fault. It was widespread so it must have been a problem at the Exchange. Result was that the Internet light on my Internet Router went bright red, the Internet did not work and a message was displayed on the screen that there was no DSL. My computer said that the local network was functional but the Squeezebox Remote would not talk to the system. Seems to need an Internet connection to actually work. Is there any way round this? How do I or can I 'persuade' the Squeezebox Remote to work if the real Internet is down? The Internet is actually very reliable but I thought that it was not required for my local area network to work.
Thanks.

Re: For the IT Tech guys
Squeezebox should work once the DSL modem is turned on - even if the DSL light is red. It just needs to talk to your PC across the wireless network in your house.
Do or do not, there is no try

Third party dug up eircom fibre hence the reason for the outtage. All should be back now.
