This is actually a good Mahler recording by Pierre Boulez. Of course no one could have compromised the sovereign singing of Anne Sofie von Otter, and Thomas Quasthoff and Violeta Urmana also sing very well.

Pepe, I just love Sofie van Otter's singing and the sound of the VPO, now I'm curious about that one.

I have read nothing but good reports of that one Pepe and now you also add your valued recommendation as well!

I'm afraid I am not much of an audiophile, but I will say that these recordings sound very detailed and pack a punch in all the right places.
