Played this last night.
Some very fine music on there.
I have a few of these from recent years, issued annually, free with Jazzwise Magazine.
Always a few gems on them.

One thing leads to another.
This one is challenging at times. But very rewarding.
Sax is reminiscent of Courtney Pine's early stuff.
The drumming by Seb Rochford, the band leader, is sublime.

I'm getting a lot more from contemporary jazz these days than from the classic '50s, '60's 'cool' stuff.
Where to next ?

Ah yes. Rip Rig and Panic. A classic of post punk jazz !!!
I bought this in 1981, I think, and played it to death.
It rested through the '90's and stirred a little in recent years.
I will awaken it proper later on.
