Thanks for the recommendation Ivor. I'll keep an eye out for it-really enjoying The Olympus Sound at the moment!Ivor wrote:This is a gemDearg Doom wrote:I don't have anything by Pugwash but always enjoyed Thomas Walsh when he co-presented The Rock Report on Radio Nova last year.
What albums would you recommend?

Apologies for the silence as I ended up in hospital! Missed my footing out side St. Patrick's church Dundalk after mass on Sun. week last as I skipped down the 25 granite steps. I was too busy checking my change for yet another collection! Hurled into space, landed on my right leg and managed to completely rupture my quadricep just above the knee! Crunch :( Had the op. in the Lourdes Drogheda on Wed. last and arrived home on Sun. to find my beloved hi-fi room turned into a temporary bedroom. Eek! I've come on in leaps and bounds (pun intended!) since and I can't wait to eventually start spinning those precious black discs :) However, I'm in for long, long recovery period and lots and lots of physio. Some say 8 weeks, others say 6/9 months before I'm back fully functioning again....Say A Little Prayer :)

Sorry to hear the bad news about your leg Dermot.I hope everything goes well in
your physio and your back in full health in no time. The rock section was very quiet
without your input.Hope to see more posts from you in the near future.

Thanks a million John. Don't worry, it's hard to keep a Louth man quiet :)jadarin wrote:Sorry to hear the bad news about your leg Dermot.I hope everything goes well in

Get well soon Dermot. I hope that your recovery is quick and straightforward.

Hi Dermot, take your time with your recovery, don't rush it and don't skimp on the physio. Think of all those long forgotten albums you'll be able to play without feeling guilty about not doing other things!!!

Thanks Fergus and Johnny :) Your comments is MUSIC to my ears...
Re: Rock - what are you listening to?
Have just ordered a Bitch Magnet remastered triple box (Temporary Residence) set from Norman Records. Spotted an ad for the record in Wire, checked them out on YouTube. Wow!!! Another new discovery to brighten up these sad days :) Have you ever heard of them Jadarin?
