"I feel electricity to be the energy of the universe. The electric guitar is the only tool that can converse with this energy. Feedback is the ecstatic orgasm that comes from this conversation between humans and the electric blood of matter" Michael Gibbons, guitarist, Bardo Pond...

Being an Audio Fidelity subscriber you end up with CDs you'd never otherwise have in your collection (Phil Collins being a classic point in question) however I have to admit to enjoying this.

I've heard of the band and some of the covers look familiar, but i don't have any of their albums.cybot wrote:"I feel electricity to be the energy of the universe. Re: Rock - what are you listening to?
Start with the last one and work your way up....fabulous sound especially the feedback drenched guitars from the Gibbons brothers :) Not too gone on Isobel vocals, though they're easily tuned out with all the racket!

Listening to Bardo, especially Lapsed, reminded me of these...BTW Lapsed was the very first record I bought in Road... Dave was way impressed :)

recording the follow up(which never came).Would you believe he played in a band with Liam O Maonlai from the hot house flowers
called The Complex.
Re: Rock - what are you listening to?
Heard those stories alright but I didn't know he played with Mr. Hothouse himself! Couldn't believe that the album came out 6 years before Bardo Ponds! He was way ahead of the pack.....jadarin wrote:I played that one to death at one stage.Kevin Shields, amazing but a total nut. They nearly bankrupt creation recordscybot wrote:Listening to Bardo, especially Lapsed, reminded me of these...BTW Lapsed was the very first record I bought in Road...
