Two really interesting concerts on Lyric this week.
Wednesday February 8th
RTÉ Vanbrugh Quartet recorded at An Grianán in Letterkenny last November
Haydn: Quartet in D minor Op.42
Frederick May: Quartet
Schubert: Quartet in D minor 'Death and the Maiden'
at 9.30pm: Spohr - Symphony No.6 in G
Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana conducted by Howard Shelley

Thursday February 9th
Berwald Hall in Stockholm
Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra conducted by Daniel Harding
Anne Sofie von Otter, mezzo-soprano
Stenhammar: Serenade in F Op.31
Mahler: Das Lied von der Erde

I have been to 2 Daniel Harding concerts and enjoyed them both.

I loved the Stenhammar music but was underwhelmed by the Mahler performance.
