sorry, embarrassingly stupid forum question alert

Hi there
I'm trying to send a pm to another user here but when I press submit to send the message it sits in the outbox instead of the sent folder. I can see no method to persuade it to move out of there. What am I missing?

Not a stupid question. It'll be in Outbox until the person logs in and gets it, so that's normal.
