^^ I rate Maazel's VPO Sibelius cycle quite highly so hopefully that set will be of a similar interpretive standard Matt. I am pleased to see that Bax purchase also!

1 of: Mozart: Requiem, Anna Tomowa-Sintow, et al

1 of: Mozart: Symphonies 38-41, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, et al

1 of: Smetana: Má vlast, Bedrich Smetana, et al

1 of: Ravel: Daphnis et Chloe, Maurice Ravel, et al

1 of: Rorem: Piano Concerto No. 2; Cello Concerto, Ned Rorem, et al

1 of: Rorem: Double Concerto for Violin and Cello; After Reading Shakespeare, Ned Rorem, et al

Some after seeing them here on this forum. The Rorem I just think I will like as I already have one cd which I really like.

Claus, my good fellow, to state that you have bought copies of the above without listing conductors and orchestras sets you out a tease. I would dearly love to know the performers involved particularly on the Smetana and Ravel recordings.

Sorry didn't notice that info was absent from the amazon list. Here they are:

The Ravel and Smetana is something I would never get (or discover) so it is purely on seeing others joy over listening to them. I have the Ravel on here with the kids and I like it!

^^ Claus, that selection of discs is wonderful to see! The Ravel, Smetana and Mozart symphony recordings are of the highest order. I also have the Karajan recording you list and I think that's pretty good too. Rorem, I know very little of but I hope you enjoy all those discs....
