Hi Gerry, how old are the SR325's
Have a pair of SR80's which I like a lot but might be tempted to upgrade. Have tried 125's but didn't like them as much.
Thanks,Shane

Hi Shane.
I really don't know how old they are. I bought them used.

But they're cosmetically OK and they sound spot on.

They are not the 325i model though. Think that's the latest generation.

You're welcome to come and have a listen. Dublin 3.
Drop me a PM if interested.
Thanks,
Gerry

What amp are you using with the grados Gerry? Do you use a dedicated headphone amp?

Hi Shane.
I use a Cary 300 SEI integrated amp.
A sweet 300B, class A, zero feedback yoke.
I've lazily cut and pasted from the web, below, by way of explanation.
The front panel is also home to a ¼" headphone jack, which is activated by a small pushbutton on the top plate. This selects between the headphone output and the Music Post loudspeaker output terminals. When listening to the 300SEI through headphones, you're hearing the entire amplifier right off the output transformers—no op-amp circuits to drive the headphones here. Switching between loudspeakers and headphones is accomplished by a gold-plated 10A relay.
