Followed by this Jon Hassell wonder from two years earlier...Wonder what happened Vol. 2 ;)
Would you believe I actually have it!!! It's called Dream Theory in Malaya....See below.

Re: Electronica - what are you listening to?
The (vinyl) journey continues....
Re: Electronica - what are you listening to?
Apollo is my least favourite Eno simply because it's so predictable and saccharine...
Robert Wyatts piano on MFA is so simple yet it works and then some....I guess it's all about context.

Re: Electronica - what are you listening to?
Bob and Brian do their stuff....Side One on both albums feature stunning guitar explorations as only Bob knows how :)
Re: Electronica - what are you listening to?
This time the focus shifts to our 'Arold...and stunning these works are too.
Re: Electronica - what are you listening to?
I do like 'arold. He did some great stuff with Andy Partridge of XTC a few years back. I can't remember the name but I remember liking it lots.
Vinyl -anything else is data storage.

Re: Electronica - what are you listening to?
Have a variety of eno albums but I think I need to start dipping into some of this cybot gear and see if it ticks the boxes.
I did get one on land I think which I thought was terrible. Maybe I will start with the fripp one.

Re: Electronica - what are you listening to?
If you thought On Land was terrible then there's no hope for you at all, at all ;) Repetition, Drone and Atmospheres are most definitely not for everybody and it took me quite a while to 'get' it. But when you do it's a joy forever and suddenly the room becomes the music and life is never quite the same ever again....Enjoy the journey anyway starting with the very accessable and beautiful modern classical/piano of Brian's brother Roger....tony wrote:Have a variety of eno albums but I think I need to start dipping into some of this cybot gear and see if it ticks the boxes.
