Tony,

I'm almost certain I have a set of ones just like in the picture above that Si posted. Feel free to borrow them if you want...

I had forgotten about them until I saw the pic!!

If you use them, one thing to be very careful about is that they aren't insulated, so if its tightly packed then be careful that they don' short off one another.

I have the same problem with my Meridian 557. The amp doesn't take spade connectors so I used some Michell Gold Banana plugs I had for years. Does the job only ok as the cables I use Transparent Audio Ultra are heavy and I'm not at all impressed with the connection. In place a year or more now, if anyone comes up with a long term solution that doesn't involve altering the cables then I too would be delighted to hear. Might take a look at those Audioquest.

Very good point on the lack of insulation/risk of shorting. Some amps are very cramped, esp. around the speaker terminals.

Ta Fran. I dont believe they will or can work but thanks for offer. I think it is the audioquests or nothing.

Brief update,Ivan in Cloneys has got these. Nordost variety my favourite!. Useful if anybody needs them as the postage cost for the audioquests from the states was $32.

That's a win. Does this open the door for even more cable testing...? ;)
