Classic Leak, Sugden, Sansui and Tannoy DC clear out

Classic Leak, Sugden, Sansui and Tannoy DC clear out plus some free stuff

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, with so many 'projects' never getting off the ground, the acquisition recently of a classic valve amp, it is time to clear some space and have a rethink. I will sort out photos next week, but may be able to email pics of anything of interest before then.

1. Pair of Sudgen A48 mk2 (SOLD); the seventies-tastic ones in dark brown and orange. Same as the one here:
http://www.audioconsult.dk/old%20sugden/a48.htm

Class A/B with the first few watts in Class A, I believe.

I bought this pair as one working and the other faulty. They are in reasonable cosmetic condition. I have not tested these as I do not have a suitable DIN connector for the sources, so I'm guessing they will be of interest to someone with the necessary technical knowledge.

2. Pair of Leak Stereo 30 plus (60 EURO) the best one; one working well, the other is faulty (light comes on, but output on both channels has failed), but cosmetically is in near prestine condition.

3. Leak Stereo 70 and Leak Delta 70 (free to good home); both faulty - Leak Stereo 70 the light does not come on, Delta 70 is missing the 4 plug in circuit boards. If someone has a use for these to keep a similar amp working, please let me know and if you can cover postage, they're yours.

4. Sansui SL5 speakers (50 EURO); a rare item this as I've yet to see another pair for sale. They are wall mountable speakers, very shallow, sealed box and two way with a bass radiator (horn tweeter), high sensitivity and carved wood grill. Cosmetically they are in great condition. See link below for further information:

5. Sansui SL7 speakers (70 EURO); another rare item also in super condition - the big brother of the SL5 - of similar construction and very high sensitivity. See link below for further information:

http://audio-database.com/SANSUI/speaker/sl-7-e.html

6. Pair of modern Tannoy DC (around 6" in diameter) with cross-overs and integrated speaker plugs (same date codes, 1998, I think)- just need a cabinet. The guy I got these from said they had come from a recording studio monitors. I will check more about the model and update when I know more. Price; nothing to gauge this on - around 100 EURO?

7. I may have some Celestion bullet tweeters (professional) and a pair of Goodmans Trebax treble units, if of any interest.

Delivery would be at cost or meet up around Dublin/M50 possible.

Thanks for your interest,

TD

For anyone with an interest in the Tannoy DC, the links below should give an idea. The second link shows a driver that is identical to the ones I have for sale new (have read Tannoy only sell drivers separately in some markets only). The first link gives a review of the application of these DCs in a studio monitor, to give an idea of a possible DIY application. The units I have date from the 1999 (matching pair) and are in perfect condition (photo attached of actual drivers) and are fantastically constructed, weighing in at 3.2 kg each.
