this album is simply beautiful, but Media vita is absolutely mesmerising in its beauty. If anyone asked me to play them some Renaissance music to see whether they liked it, then that would be one piece I'd choose.

I rally like the sound of the viola, even as a concertante instrument. 'Harold in Italy' is a very fine piece, especially in this recording:-
