Rory Gallagher reissues
as reviewed in the Ticket today
Amazon quotes
Sony Music re-launches the first six albums of the Rory Gallagher catalogue, Rory Gallagher, Deuce, Live! In Europe, Blueprint, Tattoo and Irish Tour in 2012 As Daniel Gallagher, Rory’s Nephew and producer of the re-issues states: "What better way to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Rory Gallagher's solo career than with the release of his first six solo albums, re-mastered from the original 1/4 inch master tapes?”
The titles have all been re-mastered, use enhanced versions of the original release artwork with sleeve notes from, amongst others, Donal Gallagher, Rory’s brother and former tour manager.
does anyone know if these are NEW remasters or the current remasters reissued?

Re: Rory Gallagher reissues
Was checking these out & even the experts can't seem to agree.
They have the same bonus tracks as the previous reissues
Its possible that its only the graphics, artwork and newly added sleevenotes
approach with caution
but its still Rory and will still be blisteringly brilliant or the authentic old blues sound

Indeed, but I don't want to shell out money for new sleeves, I have all the "current" remasters.
Re: Rory Gallagher reissues
As have I and I don't think I'll run the risk of duplication.
Inclusion of the same bonus tracks suspicious

Re: Rory Gallagher reissues
'Live In Europe' would be one of my favourite albums of all time and have the last remaster on CD,but still prefer the old Polydor vinyl version!
Re: Rory Gallagher reissues
bought a vinyl "Live in Europe" couple of months ago for €8. Magic!
Re: Rory Gallagher reissues
Have the original vinyl with the wonderful gatefold sleeve which I picked up second hand centuries ago. Have always looked out (in Dublin where I was based) for the past 30 odd years and I never came across another copy!!! The recent MOV edition is a single sleeve joke imo though I haven't heard what it sounds like....Anyone know?

doesn't get any better or close to the real thing than on my Grundig reel to reel (Rory's favourite also I believe)
