I must confess I parted company with Yes pretty much after 'Close to The Edge', apart from selected tracks e.g. http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9 ... QI0Jrpfzag

I'm not sure if this belongs here but this lady does it for me big time both from the musical arrangement and songwriting sides: works with some great musicians too. All her albums are frequent players here and she is getting near to the great Joni in my hall of fame in this genre.

Another keeper from the queen especially I like the disdain delivered to some of her favoured targets in the title track!!!

Whereas there are rare days when this one hits the (peculiar) spot, but worthwhile having for those days!

fleshed out my PF collection in HMV last year when they were all (relatively) cheap.

Seemed a good time to give this a first listen.

I can only agree with David Gilmour and Roger Waters on this one

[Atom Heart Mother] was a good idea but it was dreadful. I listened to that album recently: God, it's shit, possibly our lowest point artistically. Atom Heart Mother sounds like we didn't have any idea between us, but we became much more prolific after it.

David Gilmour - Mojo Magazine, October 2001

I wouldn't dream of performing anything that embarrassed me. If somebody said to me now: "Right...here's a million pounds, go out and play 'Atom Heart Mother'", I'd say: "You must be fucking joking... I'm not playing that rubbish!". 'Cause then I really would be embarrassed.

dh, you should give Topographic Oceans another dip....I hated it for years! I never, ever got it until one day I saw it languishing in a junk shop and bought it....for two punts!! It was a poor copy but when I listened I was transfixed and astonished that I never got it! I promptly went looking for a pristine second hand copy the following week and managed to find one...in absolutely perfect condition! BTW I still have that other copy to remind me of the errror of my ways....You've been warned :)
