Next week, Ummagumma
Don't forget Fat Old Sun either :)

When that fat old sun in the sky is falling
Summer evenin' birds are calling
Summer's Sunday and a year
The sound of music in my ears
Distant bells
New mown grass smells so sweet
By the river holding hands
Roll me up and lay me down

And if you see
Don't make a sound
Pick your feet up off the ground
And if you hear as the warm night falls
The silver sound from a time so strange
Sing to me
Sing to me

When that fat old sun in the sky is falling
Summer evenin' birds are calling
Children's laughter in my ears
The last sunlight disappears
And if you see
Don't make a sound
Pick your feet up off the ground
And if you hear as the warm night falls
The silver sound from a time so strange
Sing to me
Sing to me
When that fat old sun in the sky is...(fades out)
Dermot Glad to see you are as enthusiastic as ever.

There's a belter of Fat Old Sun on David Gilmour Live in Gdansk. There's also a cracking stab at Echoes and Astronomy Domine.

Absolutely on fire is our David :) I was never happy with the guitar mix on the original Echoes; way too low and soft. Had to wait nearly 35 plus years to finally hear a decent version, which is the one Johnny's talking about from Gdansk....

In a peculiar Floydian mood at the moment (wonder why?).....all vinyl.

The first real flowering of David's guitar playing. I remember Chips used to play Free Four before I even knew who Pink Floyd were :)

Always loved that inside gatefold group photo. Priceless! Love it for 'Seamus' and the 'weird' section in 'Echoes' too....

Going to give this a really good going over this weekend as it has always passed me by! Still it's only a fairly recent copy I picked up so I suppose you could say I never really had it to give it a chance!
