Yes I remember watching Amelie some years ago. A bit of a chick flick if my memory is correct. However was'nt she in another film, "A very long Engagement", a love story around WW1? Now that was fairly good.
As for Cube Zero or Cube Hypercube, well I must get my skates on and obtain these. Me thinks I am falling behind at times.

I'm with you Fergus, I never 'got' Bond previously but this earthier more human Bond (i.e. Daniel Craig) is entertaining enough.

The 3D effect is interesting but doesn't actually add to the story. In fact the only film I've seen where 3D was an integral part of the movie was Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland". Of course that was in the cinema and 3D seems to work better there than at home.
Anywoo... Coraline looks like a Tim Burton but it isn't... it's based on a Neil Gaiman story and directed by Henry Selick (Nightmare before Christmas). It's quite a surprising movie.. not what any of us expected and when I tell you I've watched it 3 times now you'll know how much I liked it.

It is, a very intelligent and charming movie. The disc I got (through play.com) has both 2D and 3D versions and while the 3D had a wow factor the 2D is far more watchable as a film.fergus wrote:That certainly looks interesting Ivor.
3D is looking like the latest fad to 'save' the film and TV industries but in the vast number of such movies I've seen it's a gimmick and there to distract from what is really a dull derivative movie (Avatar I'm lookin' at you!)
