Tom Waits Vinyl

Post by DaveF »

Spotted a few of Tom Wait's early albums on LP in Tower Records yesterday. On the Rhino label. All cut from the original analogue tapes.
Small Change, Closing Time, Nighthawks, 'Saturday night all in stock. I havent seen the new one on LP anywhere yet.

I think I'd have original copies of those ones... well worn but still sounding good. I saw Bad as Me on vinyl on Amazon but not in the real world. It's one I'll have to buy on LP alright.

I used to think the production on that was ropey. It wasn't. My system was! As my system has improved I've noticed the production has magically improved too. Do you get the clicks on the sax on the title track? The air going through the reeds on the sax? Even the match being struck at the start? marvellous.

I saw several copies of 'Bad as Me' on vinyl in Tower Records above Easons earlier today. 24.99Euro. It comes with a CD too.
