Both are indeed very good but I have always preferred Granuaile myself....I think that it is a cracker; I love the interplay between the vocal and the musical.

I did not know where to put this so I opted for here....

On Christmas Eve I love listening to Dylan Thomas’ mellow toned reading of his own word pictures of his childhood memories of Christmas where he wonderfully evokes the cold, smells and seemingly 3D images of the Festive Season.

There are some lovely traditional Irish airs and dances which are very well arranged and played on this disc and the reason that I have posted it here is for the benefit of those who do not visit the Classical music section because there are also some lovely pieces by JS Bach, Purcell, Handel and Mozart played in the traditional Irish style, which is not a quantum leap in listening terms. It is an interesting and lovely disc.

This is nice. Provocative, worldly music. John Hurt. Conceptual. Interesting. Great production.
Satisfying if you're familiar with Nithin Sawney.

If not, I recommend this. Collaborative, came after the 7/7 London tragedy, so conceptual also. Great rhythmical movements ...
