Re wiring Speakers

Hi , Recently bought a pair of B&W 601 s1 secondhand , They are near mint and sound pretty good for their age , Curiosity got the better of me and i decided to have a look inside ,, The wiring for each of the drive units looks to be pretty poor and i wondered if replacing them with some quality VDH or QED cable i have lying around might bring some worthwhile improvements ..

Any thoughts or should i leave well alone ...

Honestly? Probably looking at the crossover components might yield more results.....
