Cassette Tapes (with a difference) For Sale

Post by fergus »

I have noticed recently that there have been a number of posts relating to Cassette Tape Decks so there are still a number of them out there obviously. I have a number of Tapes that are just a little bit unusual. These are guaranteed first generation copies made in the studio. Some of them have different mixes on them and I think that they were originally intended as promotional material. They were given to me a number of years ago and most of them were never played so they are in perfect condition cosmetically. However, I do not have a tape deck so I cannot check whether or not they are in perfect working order but I assume that they are. Anybody that has bought from me in the past knows that I will only offer good quality product for sale and if these should prove, for some reason, to be sub standard I will give you a full refund.

This is what a typical one looks like....

there is a really cleaver russian living near london called alex nikitin he has done tests on so many tapes and a tape that performed highly was
sony cd it 2 which has a slide on cover and is dead cheap
another high performer was basf chrome maxima which are not just as cheap
you can see all his results on his website ant audio
the black tape in the photo is basf
the most valuable tape is one called maxell vertex they are very valuable and a dark horse metal tape is that's suono they are supposed to be the best tape of all.
if anyone has a few metal tapes horded away they are valuable now even used metals .
chrome is not sought after apart from maxell i cant spell the word but it is similar to eleptical
