Amp is safely back. Can't wait to hook it up later. Proper testing will have to wait as I am off to Dylan & Knopfler tonight. Will let you know how it sounds. Cheers!

Been playing a fair bit over the weekend and it DOES sound amazing. There is a holographic quality to the sound that was never there before and an absolute effortless in the mid range. The separation of instruments in space is not only in width but also in depth. So all in all I am very happy with the upgrade. MF has been very professional to deal with during the whole process.

Brilliant news Claus :-) Glad everything turned out all right in the end as I'm sure it was a worry. Anyway don't forget to play 'Bleeding Heart' from the Jimi Hendrix concerts :-))

Thanks guys! I will definitely will pull out the Jimi album again.

The Dylan gig was really amazing. I have only seen Bob twice - the last time he was in the O2 (and also saw him at a festival in Odense when I was 18 where didn't really get him ;) ). But I have it from a hard core fan, that it was one his best concerts in 20 years on these shores. He was in great form and just gave it loads. His voice was great and he seemed to really enjoy performing. His band was absolute world class and there was a welcome return from Charlie Sexton on lead guitar, who just seemed to lift the band to another level. It was a lesson in musicianship and how to sound full as a band without anyone taking over. And of course everyone had one eye on Bob all the time just in case... ;)

Knopfler was also very good but focused too much on the folky/trad sounding material. When he strapped on the Les Paul he got the crowd going. Unfortunately this was too rare on the night. But altogether a great evening of music with very good sound and excellent musicianship from all performers.
