The legendary blues artist Honeyboy Edwards passed away August 29th at his home in Chicago. He was 96.
Honeyboy had formally retired earlier this year, due to a weakened state of health that did not allow him to tour.
He is well known as a pioneer of Delta Blues, and his wonderful recording career started in 1942 when famed folklorist Alan Lomax recorded him in Clarksdale Mississippi for the Library of Congress.
