To make it as clear as we can, here are some simple guidelines:

a) like any forum, the success of tirnahifi is entirely dependent on discussion. All members are encouraged to participate in discussion of music, hifi, etc.
b) tirnahifi is not designed to be, nor intended to be, a marketplace. Any member who uses the site merely for selling will be looked on suspiciously.
c) those members who choose to sell on the site should be aware that the mods do keep an eye on the stuff for sale, plus the demeanour of the seller. Sometimes we may lock/delete/ban a sales thread on this basis.
d) honesty is paramount in all selling transactions. Commercial sellers who label themselves as such are accepted at the discretion of the moderating team.
e) All ads have to include information about age, price, provenance, etc.
f) THE MODERATING TEAM RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REMOVE ANY ADS AT THEIR DISCRETION.
g) Commercial sellers should approach any of the moderation team in advance of posting. First time commercial posts without moderator contact will be removed.

For Sale:
Unison Research S2K KT88 valve amplifier , 15 powerful, musical Watts/channel. Includes volume remote control. Recently fitted with new Shuguang Black Treasure KT88's and NOS Telefunken 12au7's. Sale includes spare KT88's and 12au7's. Beautifully musical and surprisingly powerful with reasonably sensitive speakers.
Price: 950 euro or reasonable offer. Amplifier is now SOLD

Teac VRDS10 CD player/Transport , the legendary VRDS CD transport mechanism reputed to be the best. Full CD player but exceptional as a transport into any modern Dac. Comes with original Teac remote control and Wireworld Supernova Glass Optical digital cable.
Price: 250 euro or reasonable offer.Withdrawn from sale, I've decided to keep it.

Marantz SA8400 SACD Player. Plays both CD's and SACD's through analogue outputs and digital output for CD only. With original remote control.
Price 125 euro includes 2/3 SACDs Marantz is now sold

Marantz now sold to James, many thanks.

Amp and cd player still for sale. All you need is a pair of speakers and you have a wonderful system.

Delighted with the SACD player -- I should really post a picture in the system gallery [and wait for the response since I really need to put stuff on a rack] ..

Have been listenning to Santana/Abraxas SACD you gave me and I am really enjoying it [ages since I heard it]. Next I will have to listen to my own SACD's [I have a few double layer SACD's viz. Glenn Gould 'reperformed' and Shostakovish symphonies] and then my son is suggesting we get soem Dire Straits ..
