Wireworld Ultraviolet USB : WOW ! That cable rocks !

Hey Guys,

Just a quick topic to give you opinion on the last item received by post 2days ago.

In my system, I'm using a netbook connected to a dac via USB then to my amplifier in RCA.

I wanted to try a higher quality USB cable between the pc and the DAC to see if there was any improvement. Some people say that USB cables quality have no impact what so ever on sound quality as it's a digital signal and not analog.

Let me tell you something, that's b*llsh*t !!!

I was using a standard USB cable, not a crap one but a good standard quality, two days ago I just swapped it for a Wireworld Ultraviolet USB.

Beside the fact that this new cable looks great, the sound quality improvement is just MASSIVE ! I obtained higher details, significant deeper bass and now the soundstage is just WOOW !!!

So, I can't really explain why and how a different USB cable can provide a better digital signal improving the sound quality but trust me it does big time ! :D :D

sdiesel: you really have to try one of jkenys USB dacs. Possibly the best sound you will ever hear from a PC source for not much money....

Although I 'm very satisfied with my dacmagic, I'm currently thinking of sending it to UK to upgrade it, apparently the sound improvement is really significant once done.

I was considering a dacmagic or beresford but I heard the hiface in frans and I will be going with that when I get a chance. Sound was fantastic. You should check the hiface thread here as some guys with very expensive kit where very impressed with Johns device. Messing with attenuator's bit sounds like a very cheap way also of bending the sound to suit yourself without breaking the bank and reports suggest it works.
