Bruckner – Symphony No. 2 Solti...

This is a wonderful performance which is both assertive and wistful in the appropriate places. The performance is well paced without being rushed.

I have been concentrating for the past week on the Schumann Piano trios, Hummel String Quartets & Orchestral Works for Violin, and Dvorak's Serenades for Strings & Wind... I'm enjoying them all, as I expected I would... :-))

You have been a bit quiet recently Jared so I thought that you must be busy with work.
I would be curious about your thoughts on the Hummel String Quartets.

String Quartets Op 59 1-3.....

I found these performances to be very good. They are strong performances with lots of body to them. If you like your Beethoven very much on the masculine side then these are for you.
