From Amazon:

The Bob Dylan In Concert - Brandeis University 1963 concert tape was discovered recently in the archives of the noted music writer and Rolling Stone co-founder Ralph Gleason, where it sat on a shelf for more than forty years. "It had been forgotten, until it was found last year in the clearing of the house after my mother died," said Toby Gleason, Ralph's son. "It's a seven inch reel-to-reel that sounds like it was taped from the mixing desk."

Drawn from two sets that spring night at the Brandeis Folk Festival, tracks on Bob Dylan In Concert - Brandeis University 1963 include "Honey, Just Allow Me On More Chance" (incomplete), "Talkin' John Birch Paranoid Blues," "Ballad Of Hollis Brown," "Masters of War," "Talkin' World War III Blues," "Bob Dylan's Dream," and "Talkin' Bear Mountain Picnic Massacre Blues."

Previously available as a limited time offer, Bob Dylan In Concert - Brandeis University 1963 is being reissued in response to overwhelming popular demand for a wide release. The new Columbia/Legacy edition features liner notes penned exclusively for this release by noted Bob Dylan scholar Michael Gray, author of The Bob Dylan Encyclopedia and the three-volume Song & Dance Man: The Art of Bob Dylan, provided an explication of the album's seven songs and historical/cultural context for the performances.

Have that Hendrix single. You got a few more didn't you? I know there's another single out now plus the one that was brought out at Christmas...

Friggin' hell this is AMAZING!!! Been a while but it's great to be reacquainted with Jimi's (live) muse again.Sonically it has unbelievable presence and while the armchair critics say it wasn't his best performance, I say, how would you perform on a freezing cold stage well after midnight? I mean take a listen to Machine Gun, all 23 minutes of it where Jimi battles with malfunctioning equipment, radio frequency breakthrough (look it up!) and split trousers ;-)

Triple vinyl edition :-)

I can only begin to imagine what it would sound like on Fran's stacked Quads or even with Ivor's and his little round phono thing ;-) Talking to Glenn (Croft) last week and he was telling me he won 4 pair of 57s in a week and a bit! He now has 10 pairs (?!?!) in various degrees of condition and says he intends to do the triple stack trick soon!?!? He's making the stand as we speak....

I played another version of this Irish tale earlier today (shown in the Classical Music section) but this is the Pop/Rock version and is very reminiscent of the Rock and Folk Operas of the 70’s....ah, memories....

not as good as Modern Times but still a fairly solid effort IMHO.

Here's an unusual one alright! A play for voices; One of two albums I have of her and beautifully presented in a gatefold sleeve. I don't think I've ever listened to the whole album in one sitting, maybe tonight?
