How do I play radio stations on my PC. I run Windows XP. For example going to Linn site, there is the option to play music but when I click play, the system askes me to save some file....
Not exactly sure what question to ask but how do I get Linn music or any radio station to play on my computer.
Thanks.

I take it you are on a broad band connection, and not a dial up line. I'm not too sure about the Linn site, but have you tried other sites like rte radio or newstalk.ie etc
Try get it going on a one of these first. You may require some 3rd party software like RealPlayer, basic version I think is free and can be downloaded from the www.
In addition other software which might be required is Adobe flash player or some Java run time which again is also free to be downloaded etc.
I'm not too sure, usually I have to have the unit in front of me and by just playing around one gets it to work o.k. Also make sure you have the Laptop speakers turned up, sometimes its the bleedin obvious which tends to get overlooked.
Other than that if you know of a switched on nephew or neighbour to assist you with mucking around with the PC.
It's usually at times like these I turn around to the wife and say "it's time for a new laptop darling" much to her disgust!!

In my experience it differs from site to site. For example RTE require you to download and install Real player. It's free but a bit of a nuisance. The other option is to try iTunes, that has a mountain of radio station but they're mainly internet based stations rather than ones you'll hear on your car radio. I sometimes use it to listen to bizarre American folk stations when I'm working late at night!
