Good Lord, what's that? Is this your inital foray into early music then?
Initial....most definitely not!
Further....most definitely!

I have quite a number of Early Music CDs Seán as I find the genre fascinating!

Replacing some essential records I had on LP, now that the turntable is gone. To my surprise, all of these had to be bought second-hand from amazon sellers: they've all been deleted. I imagine that some at least will be back in some form.

Takács Quartet playing Beethoven: I'd been meaning to get these for a long time. I have the impression that they may not be available much longer, now that Decca is being relaunched as Decca Classics and a lot of Decca titles seem to be disappearing. At the moment the Middle Quartets are just £3.99 on Amazon, while the Late Quartets seem to be unavailable (I've just ordered them on MDT) and I had to get the Bartók quartets second-hand from an Amazon seller (haven't arrived yet).

Claus, I am familiar with the Mendelssohn, Schubert, Giuliani & Nielsen recordings, they are wonderful performances, enjoy.
