Thank you for the advice Randy. We all have different recipes. Nice to have clean power supplies from batteries or super caps but as in anything, there's no free lunch. As diyers, we choose what matters more to us as a compromise.

Oooooh come on just break the rules 1 more time ya. It just 6-8 pcs of 3 inch high blocks just to raise
the speakers off the floor. Promise you that you'll hear something nice. lol

No spikes is alright. Doesn't matter if your floor is wood. Just give it a try lift the speaker off the floor by 3 inch or so. Go give it another try.

Trust that your Howards are resting on spikes ? Regardless, go look for small wooden blocks or small solid piece of material of about 3 inch high, sit the speakers on 3 or 4 corners of the blocks, play music listen & let me know what you hear.
