Hard to believe this one but its absolutly true.Was in our local town Tralee before christmas 2009 and who did i meet coming out of the brandon hotel....Tom Waits...,he informed me that his wifes family came from Kerry and he spent his honeymoon in Tralee

That's 100% correct - Kathleen brennan is her name and the rose of tralee gets a name check in one of the songs on raindogs....

My mother's brother married Agatha Waites of Kilcolgan Go Galway (where my late mother is from) and Tom is Agatha's first cousin.
