I have a PDM One Series 2 which is of similar vintage but a whole other level. For an early DAC it actually sounds quite analogue. you could google it for some info but mine only has a co-axial digital input.
If you wanted a loan that's no problem.

thaks Ivor a loan for a few days would be great, got a cd transport from Woody and i cant wait to try it but i have no dac and it will take another couple of weeks to buy one....
